What is a relative sponsorship visa?

The Australian Family Sponsored Visa is also known as the Australian Family Reunification Visa.     • Description: This is an agreement between the Australian government and regional, state, or territory authorities that provides access to more foreign workers than the standard skilled migration program.
    • Individuals cannot access DAMA directly. They must be sponsored:
      • By an employer operating in a designated area, and
      • For a specified occupation listed in the agreement.

    N. Skills Assessment

    • Applicants applying for skilled visas are required to provide evidence of their skills for the nominated occupation from the relevant assessing authority.

    • The validity of the skills assessment is calculated as follows:

      • If the expiry date displayed on the skills assessment is less than 3 years, it will be valid for the duration stated on the assessment.
